Progress of the Sweet Project.. Nearly done

The backstitch on the chart is poorly printed, it gave me such a hard time to stitch them (especially the the spaghetti part), but it looks sweet now... I will need to finish the chair and the shadows only!

One's Very First Time...

Bryan found this book while we were in a book shop last week. The name of the book is "The First Time of a Person", written by a Japanese lady, with funny design and illustrations, the content is about the writer's very first experience on many encounters... Bryan read it with laughter and he seemed very much enjoy reading it! I was so happy that he could read on his own initiative!! It's his "first time" too!! So I bought the book with no hesitation...

However, after bringing it home, it became "just another book", and it belongs to the book shelf!! Well, it is certainly not our "first time" to "keep the book to its place" so soon... we'll have to read thru the book together, again!

A Big Day to Remember

"Ming tian shi shenme ri zi?" (What day is it tomorrow?) ---- My French student Damien asked me in class suddenly, "Er..." I couldn't think of a proper answer. "It's French National Day!" He seemed a bit surprised that I actually had no idea about this big date!!

Cheers to you all, my dearest French students, and of course, to all French people in the world!! May you all have a wonderful National Day!!

Damien told me that there will be a big party tomorrow night (organised by the French consulate), all French people here (last year it was about a thousand people turn up to this party!!) who registered with them could get free admission, food and drinks are free too!! Wow, I can image how hot the party could be!!

Hm, what a great chance to meet new friends and students if I be there... Damien read my mind and said "you can go there after 9:30pm, with charges of course." Well, I am not seriously thinking of going there, but it should be worth going just to think of what one could gain after the party!!

Sweet & Simple Project

I put my big project aside (for a moment, for sure!) when I found this "sweet & simple" new item!!

There are only 10 colours in it (though it appears like black and white only), I thought that I could finish it in two days... but there are so many 1/4 stitches, 3/4 stitches... and the chart is quite difficult to read (bad quality from China!), so I will give myself one week time for it!

This sweet project is about two lovers sharing their spaghetti... a "love at first sight" item for me, I just can't wait to finish it sooner!!

Finding Love in Beijing

I've just finished watching the well known America TV series "Sex and the City" (season 5 & 6), and yesterday I watched a parody of this TV series which made me laugh a lot.. Maybe you are interested to watch it too? (very short film, few minutes only.)

www.danwei.org/danwei_tv/sexy_beijing_love.php

There are sooooooooooooooooooo many singles available in town that Sophie didn't see in this film... When speaking of "dating/ finding love", Chinese people still tend to say "leave it to fate" and "wait" for someone special to come... well, that could be whole life waiting!

Sophie may scare away many good guys on the streets! In a rather conservative city like Beijing, people are not used to meet "someone special" in this way!!

I could barely understand her Mandarin, her accent is so funny, she definitely need some Chinese lessons!!

Growing, Growing..

I have transplanted my first rose to this bigger pot, hopefully it will grow healthily and be "satisfy" with our living environment, our place is... hm, too small for plants actually. Other five seeds are still "sleeping", I will wait, patiently..

Another "Never Mind"

I received a message from Pansy while I was on the way to meet her for lesson this morning, she said she could make it only after 1.5 hours later due to the late arrival, she was still in Guang Zhou (China) then... This is the "countless time" very short notice from her, and I have to accept it without complain, she is my CUSTOMER after all...

I don't mind (really don't mind) people change the schedules but it should be done earlier!! It affects my other schedules as well!!

By 8:20am, I reached the lift lobby of home, and when the lift door opened ----- I saw the sunbeam of the day: there came my sweet boy Bryan!! We both were surprised to see each other! "Hey, aren't you supposed to be in class?" Oh, then I realised, it was the time for him to go to school everyday, I was the one who was not supposed to be there at that hour!
